It goes without saying that a business website doesn’t need to be boring – quite the opposite, in fact. One of the elements people can take advantage when creating and building a website is the page background, so I’ve selected a few examples from Your Web Department clients that I believe illustrate that.
It's extremely easy to apply a background image to a website in YWD. You can do so globally in YWD Designer, and also assign different backgrounds to certain pages by editing their properties. Also, you have the option of choosing whether the background image should stretch, tile, etc. as well as whether it should cascade to sub-pages or not.
Take a look at the business websites below. Some of them chose to use a photographic treatment – either stretched or not – to achieve dramatic results, while others opted for a tiled texture in order to make the website’s look and feel more organic. I like the results.
